Aeros strengthens compliance confidence with the booking block feature
"Even though our compliance was already strong, we saw the booking block feature as a way to add extra security. Now we know the system itself will prevent expired ratings or medicals from slipping through. It's one of the smartest improvements we've made with FlightLogger."
About Aeros Flight Training
Aeros Flight Training operates one of the UK's leading modular pilot training programs, with academies in Gloucester, Coventry, Cardiff, Leeds, and Wellesbourne. Since 1986, they've prepared thousands of students for commercial aviation careers.
The challenge
During a recent audit, Aeros was praised for its compliance procedures, particularly for ensuring that no pilot flies with out-of-date licenses. At the time, compliance was maintained through detailed record-keeping and system warnings. But with multiple bases and a busy training schedule, the team saw an opportunity to go one step further.
Solution & implementation
To add this additional layer of security, Aeros activated FlightLogger's booking block feature, which prevents users from scheduling flights unless all required certificates are valid and up to date. The rollout was quick and seamless — from that point forward, the system provided an automatic compliance lock, an extra assurance on top of Aeros' existing processes.
FlightLogger's Product Manager Christina Solberg learned about the update during a customer visit to Aeros' Gloucester academy, where the feature stood out as one of the team's most valuable recent improvements.
