ALT Academy, a leading aviation training provider based at O.R. Tambo International Airport, joined the growing network of aviation schools powered by FlightLogger, partnering with Easy Pilot — South Africa's first official EASA exam centre.
The challenge
As demand for EASA certification rises in Africa, aviation schools face a familiar obstacle: building enough local infrastructure to deliver both exams and simulator training without compromising quality or compliance. ALT Academy needed a solution that could expand exam access without disrupting day-to-day operations, accommodate a growing volume of cadets, and ensure consistency in records and compliance.
The solution: strategic partnership + operational backbone
By teaming up with Easy Pilot, ALT Academy launched a second EASA test venue — adding to the success of the existing Grand Central site — and introduced access to a Full Flight A320 Simulator. The expansion was underpinned by ALT Academy's adoption of FlightLogger, giving them the tools to manage growth without losing oversight.
FlightLogger enables the academy to standardize student progress across campuses, support compliant data management for EASA requirements, and streamline simulator scheduling and resource planning.
Results: growth with control
Since adopting FlightLogger, ALT Academy has been able to deliver a unified, compliant training pipeline — from ground school to simulator — while expanding their footprint in South Africa's aviation training market. Pilots can now complete ground school, take EASA theory exams, and train on a certified A320 simulator — all within one streamlined, digitally managed environment, entirely within South Africa.
